My wife and I were showcasing our wedding photography business at a wedding fair when we heard some great jazz piano music nearby. After listening for a minute or two we knew that we wanted Luis playing at our reception, and we booked him.

He is extrememly talented, friendly, and professional. Our guests loved his music as much as we did. Since our own wedding, we have photographed several weddings at which Luis was playing and had the chance to listen to his music several times, with and without accompaniment.

Having seen many musicians over the years while photography weddings, we can confidently recommend Luis as being one of the best.

Luis Giraldo’s debut, Day Dream, is a 50-minute journey through the silky joy of vocal jazz with a Latin Flavour. Colombia’s loss is Vancouver’s gain. The record features Chris Sigerson on piano and Rick Kilburn on bass. Although this chronicle contains many standards, Giraldo’s Spanish vocals diversify the album for lovely effect.

Spanish is a most beautiful language. We need not know what the words mean to make up their meanings for us. Musical articulation is joy enough for those whose literacy does not provide for a direct translation of Spanish.
